Municipality Ruše lies in the western part of Štajerska, under the hill Pohorje. Range of municipality rises up most highly with Žigart summit (1347 sealevel).

On north it spreads out to river Drava while on south it reaches the slopes of eastern Pohorje, built from tonalit and others magmatic rocks.

In summer a big festival is going on, called "Letni oder Ruše", where various concerts or plays can be visited.
