You can discover Pohorje in summer time by feet or your bike, wintertime on skis, slaves or just on foot. It offers you excellent shelter to aviod heat in summer and refresh in one of the gurgling streams.

Pohorje
Pohorje is a hill, which lies in northeastern Slovenia and is increased mostly with coniferous forest.
He stretches between river Drava on north and Drava-Ptuj field on south, he reaches on west to Dravograd, on east to Maribor and on south to Slovenske Konjice.
Heartland of Pohorje is presenting plateaus world with numerous marshes. Range limit Žigartov on top of (1347 m), Klopni summit (1340 m), Rogla (1517 m) and Veliki Vrh (1344m).

Ancient forest Šumik
Large surface of intact Pohorje virgin forest is being spread out next to stream Lobnica (slope above Lobnica), where we can find mighty old trees, as: beech, spruces, firs and habitats of rare plants.
Round short descent next to Lobnica arrive at of waterfall Large Šumik, one our mightiest waterfalls, you will find also little Šumik a bit ahead. Way between Large and Little Šumik considers very demandingly.
Way to Pohorje ancient forest:
• From our hotel you have to take in direction of center of Ruše against Smolnik.
Two kilometers forward, behind road section against Gornjak, on the left sight of the road there is a signpost for waterfalls
Then round marked way from Šumik or at Bajgotu, where is also pleasant outpost next to confluence of streams Črnava and Majland, from which stream Lobnica occurs . To virgin forest on this town divorces you only 30 minutes
